The 1984 vintage of Macallan's celebrated 15 Year Old expression, matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, and bottled in the late 1990s. This bottling carries the iconic Easter Elchies house illustration — originally painted by Sara Middleton — on the tube, a visual hallmark of classic Macallan releases from this era. The 1984 vintage represents pre-expansion Macallan at its most characteristically rich and heavily sherried: a darker, denser, more opulently sherried character than the distillery has produced in subsequent decades. A serious collector's bottle and a deeply satisfying dram.
