The tenth and final release in the acclaimed Private Edition series — and possibly the most innovative. 'Allta' (Scots Gaelic for "wild") is the world's first single malt created using a wild yeast strain discovered growing naturally in Glenmorangie's own barley fields. A uniquely fragrant, floral character unlike any other whisky.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Carnations and Parma violets; baking bread, gentle vanilla; sweet citrus and honey — warm, floral and uniquely yeasty
  • Palate: Crisp citrus bite; butter candy; creamy vanilla; orange syrup with a yeasty background; peppermint — distinctly unlike standard Glenmorangie
  • Finish: Long and earthy with more orange and peppermint; lingering gentle spice
