Tasting Notes
- Nose: Funky and compelling — wet wood, mulching forest leaves, salty air, old resin, and a musty cellar. A second wave of dark cocoa, hazelnuts, fudge, and hints of dates. Later, a fruity sourness: cranberries, sour cherry, and a mild note of faded potpourri
- Palate: Savoury and layered — herbs, tobacco leaves, wet soil, sea salt, and roasted nuts with lemon peel and black peppercorns. Hints of linseed oil, roasted chestnuts, and coffee. A meaty, winey quality mid-palate with herbal extracts and leather. Flashes of sour berries throughout
- Finish: Medium length — leather, salted caramel, and nutmeg
