The second chapter in Highland Park's celebrated Viking Legend series — and the one with a name steeped in Norse mythology. Valknut: the symbol of three interlinked triangles, meaning "knot of those killed in battle," placed upon fallen Viking warriors before Odin's Valkyries would carry them to Valhalla. Created in partnership with acclaimed Danish designer and Viking Age specialist Jim Lyngvild, this expression pushes deeper into Highland Park's Orcadian heritage than almost any other release in the range — smokier, spicier, and more characterfully itself.
Matured predominantly in sherry-seasoned American oak casks and incorporating a small portion of Orkney-grown Tartan barley — a rare locally sourced ingredient that adds a smokier, more distinctly Orcadian edge to the character — this is Highland Park as a living piece of Viking history.

Tasting Notes
- Nose: Toasted vanilla, cracked black pepper, cloves and aniseed with an aromatic smoke
- Palate: Sweet with aromatic cloves and tangy aniseed hints — slightly smokier than standard Highland Park, with a wonderful depth from the sherry oak and locally grown barley
- Finish: Incredibly balanced, with lingering peat smoke and sweet spice
