The second release in the Valhalla Collection, named for Loki — Thor's adopted brother and Norse mythology's great shape-shifter. Notably includes some heavily peated casks in the blend, unusual for Highland Park. Presented in a Viking longship wooden casket.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Salty sea spray, candied orange peel, buttery toffee and raisins; stewed apples, lemon zest, honey — shape-shifting in the glass
  • Palate: Hit of sweet smoke from the peated casks, then cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, marmalade; slippery, complex mouthfeel
  • Finish: Milk chocolate, ginger, marzipan and toasted cloves making a late appearance
