The small size of the octave cask accelerates wood interaction dramatically, layering concentrated richness and spice over Glenglassaugh's naturally elegant coastal style and creating an intensity that a larger cask simply cannot replicate. The octave's small capacity (~50 litres) means fewer bottles and more intense wood extraction — a format that suits Glenglassaugh's spirit remarkably well.
