About Chichibu
Founded in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto and distilling since 2008, Chichibu was the first new Japanese distillery in 35 years and has become one of the most collected names in world whisky. Its small output, careful cask selection and Ichiro's reputation mean single casks are snapped up on release. The Highlander Inn connection runs deep: its owner, Tatsuya Minagawa, is a close friend of the distillery, and the Inn's Chichibu exclusives have a devoted following.
Perfect For
- Collectors of Chichibu and Japanese single cask whisky
- Anyone who knows The Highlander Inn and wants a piece of its story
- A serious gift for a fan of Japanese whisky
