In 2000, Ardbeg experienced a significant year. The Ardbeg Distillery underwent a renovation and, with the expertise of Dr. Bill Lumsden and the whisky creation team, this rare stock received exceptional treatment.
Ardbeg Vintage_Y2K is a series of limited releases from the year 2000. Combining old and new, it merges modern, innovative whisky techniques whilst using the old Ardbeg stills.
This batch of the vintage Ardbeg, known as Vintage_Y2K 24 Years Old, was created by Dr. Bill as a tribute to the Committee's 25th Anniversary. In a first for the brand, he expertly finishes the rediscovered millennium spirit in specially chosen Amontillado sherry casks, a personal favorite of his. Blending the classic Ardbeg with this sherry creates a unique smoky flavor infused with luxurious notes of creamy toffee, aged leather, and toasted almonds.
Each Ardbeg vintage offers a unique flavor profile, making Vintage_Y2K a truly exceptional and irreplaceable liquid with its signature smoky notes. Its one-of-a-kind taste can never be duplicated.
