Angus Dundee Distillers, an independent company, acquired the distillery from the Whyte & Mackay group in 2000. ADD has since expanded its core range, introducing a 12-year-old ‘Peaty Tang’ expression in 2008. This expression, along with the heavily-peated malt whisky Old Ballantruan, is one of the oldest Tomintouls ever released.
