The Lakes Distillery
The Lakes Distillery, founded in 2011 by Paul Currie in Cumbria, is situated on the site of a derelict farm near Bassenthwaite Lake. Renowned for its sherry-led single malts, the distillery also produces gins and vodkas. It operates a visitor centre with a bistro and is celebrated for its unique “elevage” process, which is used to mature its spirits.
