The first Casks were laid down in 2013 and this Wolfburn Distillery Manager's Cask is one of Wolfburn's oldest sherry butts. 4. Port Charlotte 16 Year Old  Feis Ile 2020      £495.00

While this Port Charlotte 16 year old was originally intended as Bruichladdich distillery's Feis Ile release for 2020. After the festival was sadly cancelled, it was offered up by an online ballot in May. A vatting of three parcels of 2003 vintage single malt. The first is refill hogsheads, recasked into first fill bourbon barrels in 2012. The second is first fill bourbon barrels reracked into ex-Sauternes casks in 2013. And the final parcel is a variety of ex-sherry, ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks. 5. Balvenie 14 Year Old Peat Week 2002                £169.00

This Balvenie 14 year old Peat Week 2002 Vintage Single Malt is from the first batch of HEAVILY PEATED WHISKY to be made at The Balvenie distillery in more than 50 years. Whisky from the first week of peated new make spirit distilled at The Balvenie in 2002. Balvenie burn peat to dry their barley, as they have always done, but from 2002 for one week every year they use heavily peated barley to make the spirit. It is then aged for 14 years exclusively in American oak barrels to produce a whisky that is velvety and smoky-sweet.

Tasting Notes:

Nose : Gentle sweet peat smoke with some lighter floral notes and delicate butterscotch honey.

Palate : Velvety and round with the peat smoke balancing citrus flavours, oaky vanilla and blossom honey.

Finish : Gentle smoke with a lingering and creamy vanilla sweetness.
