About Wild Turkey
Wild Turkey is a renowned Kentucky straight bourbon brand, distilled and bottled by the Wild Turkey Distilling Co., a division of Campari Group. The “Wild Turkey” name is said to have originated in 1940, when an Austin Nichols executive, Thomas McCarthy, took warehouse samples on a wild turkey hunting trip. The bourbon proved so popular that friends kept asking for “that wild turkey bourbon,” and Wild Turkey was officially bottled from 1942.
