Mortlach 17 Year Old - Old & Rare Platinum

This Mortlach 17 year Old & Rare Platinum Selection Single Cask Malt Whisky is bottled by Douglas Laing at Cask Strength.

Distilled in September 1992 and bottled in November 2009.

It is bottle 9 of only 59 bottled at Natural Cask Strength, with no chill filtration.
On the nose anticipate a rich and smoothly spiced style, with a combination of tobacco and stewed dark fruit overtones.
Be assaulted on the palate by ginger, warming spices, sweet fruit and lightly oaked qualities.
All of which lead to a finish which is gentle,soft, with attractive tropical fruit tones and more interesting spice.
