An extraordinary expression from Glencadam — awarded 95 points by the IWSC in 2024 (International Wine & Spirits Competition). The Reserva PX 2006 was specially created by Glencadam's Master Distiller, who carefully selected single malt distilled in 2006 from the distillery's historic dunnage warehouses. Matured initially in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks, the spirit was then expertly married and finished in the finest Pedro Ximénez sherry quarter casks sourced from Andalucía, Spain — one of the smallest cask formats available, which imparts intense, concentrated PX sweetness with remarkable speed and depth. Bottled at a natural 46% ABV, unchillfiltered and at natural colour. Limited to just 4,188 bottles.

Founded in 1825 in Brechin, Angus, Glencadam is one of the Highlands' oldest and most understated distilleries, operating under the motto "The Rather Unique." Its characteristically elegant, floral Highland spirit — shaped by the distillery's tall stills and slow distillation — provides a beautiful canvas for PX sherry cask finishing. The quarter cask format, significantly smaller than a standard sherry butt, accelerates the interaction between spirit and wood, delivering an intensity of PX sweetness, dark fruit, and spice that larger casks simply cannot replicate in the same timeframe.
