Tasting Notes:
Nose : Initially the aroma is intense and rich and oozes baked desserts. Also treacle toffee, creamy trifle and baked Tiramisu bring a sense of indulgence, beneath which is a tray of delicious pastries pain au chocolate, apple Danish and freshly baked croissants
served with marmalade, cherries and fresh cream. While sun dried raisins in spiced bread, served with wholemeal toast and almond biscotti bring layers of warm baking.
Palate : Deep, mouth-filling and oily with a tingly effervescence. While hot toasted fruitcake, thick caramel and dark rum fill the palate with voluptuous warmth. Furthermore cinnamon spiced apples, plum sauce and prunes bring an almost cognac-like fruitiness, followed by a swathe of dark chocolate, aromatic coffee and walnut oil.
Finish : Long, deep and mouth-coating with walnut cake in treacle, baked orange marmalade and a trace of cinnamon-spiced Viennese coffee.
