Cragganmore 12 Year Old 2019 Special

A Cragganmore 12 year old 2019 Special Release, bottled at Natural Cask Strength as part of Diageo's Special Releases.

This is a small trail batch of medium-peated Cragganmore matured in traditional refill American oak casks, In a style never released before, it wreathes the elegant,smooth distillery character in a wholly unexpected aromatic and spicy smokiness.

The aroma is intially elusive, sweet with hard candy or apple pie, savoury, with soft leather and sanded wood, and uniquely smoky too, with fragrant peat-smoke. The texture is smooth, while the taste is rich, sweet and savoury, then becomes appealing smoky. The finish is smoothly smoky and spicy.
