Our next tasting evening is fast approaching with the exciting Brave New Spirits coming to visit with some of there exquisite whisky bottling expressions, soon to be stocked in-store. 

Who Are Brave New Spirits?

Brave New Spirits are independent whisky bottler from Glasgow, Started in 2015. They have a fast growing reputation along with a growing list of impressive awards. The ethos is to respect old traditions and craftsmanship in creating the national drink of Scotland. 

Limited Releases and Small Batches

Brave New Spirits often are releasing limited edition small batches often from one cask, creating some unique expressions with only a few hundred bottles per release. 

Series and bottlings

The spirits tend to be sorted and released under particular bottling series. 

The Cask Masters series picks from some of top whisky distillers to celebrate each step of process. Often selected on origin, flavour balance and age. Mixed with the traditional process bottles have unique label creating artistic expression and making the bottle its self art. 

A Secret Agent series, pick from distilleries but is not identified, creating mystery. The label hides clues to its identity, for lively discussions for those amongst us that are super sleuths. A unique way to adventure new spirits without getting hung up on distillery signature flavours.

The Yellow Editions are single cask releases making them rare and unique. The aim of the series is to reflect Scotland's character and variety. Focusing on famous casks of whisky maturation like oak barrels from Spain, USA and France, used for sherry, bourbon and wine. Bottles provide information on cask, production numbers and distillery. 

Cask Noir Series are independent Scotch whiskies inspired by movies and novels. Selected by an expert panel on taste, often offering adventurous and mysterious flavours. This series has won multiple awards showing its true quality amongst the community.
