The Spey Distillery is considered one of the most beautiful distillery's in Scotland this is due to its picturesque location nestled within the Cairngorm Mountains in the North East of Scotland. The distillery is the second most southern distillery in the Speyside region of whisky in Scotland.

The distillery its self is relatively young considered to some of the other distilleries within the region. The initial site of where Spey distillery sits now was once home to a barely mill and croft dating back to 1700's.

In 1962 George Christie bought the old mill and alongside a stone mason Alex Fairlie the construction started to convert the mill to a distillery. Over the next two decades, by hand and with love the distillery was constructed and created. In 1987, construction was finally done and production could begin. For production the distillery takes its water from the River Tromie.

It would take another 3 years until production at the site began on Christmas Day 1990, George's vision was to produce a high quality small batch whisky, which is why the they produce around 600,000 litres per year making them one of smallest producers in the market, In 2012 Harvey's of Edinburgh bought ownership of distillery.

We are excited to invite and host Spey distillery to guide us and you through their exceptional whisky, what we will surely be a very enjoyable evening all round.
