In partnership with our sister company of Bean and Barrel, we extended our menu to include cocktails, while we don't want to reveal all our secrets we are willing to share 2 cocktail recipes we use in store along with some descriptions of ones we can provide in store.  

Old Fashioned

Glass Selection is important in cocktail making - use a whisky tumbler for the old fashioned. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of sugar syrup
  • 1-2 dashes of bitters
  • Splash of water 
  • 60ml Single malt scotch/ bourbon ( we recommend something  from the speyside region and primarily bourbon cask finished)
  • Soda Water (optional)
  • Orange Slice
  • Marascino Cherry 

Creation :

Take your whisky tumbler and add the sugar, bitters and water, then mix well until the sugar dissolves (if using granulated). Add ice and pour whisky and stir again, then garish with the cherry and orange slice. Optionally add Soda water if prefer a mixed scotch. Then you can sit back and enjoy a the Old Fashioned.

 Islay Daiquiri

Best served in a Coupe cocktail glass.

Ingredients: 

  • 30ml Islay whisky(or any peated) We use the Ileach peated whisky. 
  • 30ml of pineapple rum 
  • 20ml lime juice
  • 2 drops of tiki bitters
Creation: 

     Using a cocktail shaker fill with ice pour ingredients in and sake well for 40-50 seconds, then strain into glass and garnish with grated nutmeg.

    • War and Peace( White Russian)
    • Bergeron (Mexician Coffee)
    • Aperol Spritz  

    We also serve signature Gelato Cocktails using our delicious gelatos that include Frozen Mango Daiquris, Lemon Gimlet and Whisky Sour.  We also serve whisky infused gelato, we recommend pairing the lemon sorbet with our current infusion whisky of the Annandale Man o' Words Double oaked for a taste of summer with that whisky kick.
