Distilled on 23rd July 2012 and bottled on 26th November 2025 from a single European oak sherry butt, cask 15042/12, at a natural cask strength of 58.1% ABV. Just 615 bottles were produced.

The collection is inspired by the sensory discoveries of The Macallan's Whisky Makers, those moments at the whisky-making bench when an extraordinary aroma or flavour is found for the first time. Each single cask is an invitation into that world, and a showcase for the commitment to the mastery of spirit and wood for which The Macallan has been known since 1824. Natural colour and non-chill filtered.

Key Features

Distillery: The Macallan, Easter Elchies, Craigellachie, Speyside

Series: Estate Single Cask Collection, made from Estate-grown barley

Distilled: 23rd July 2012 | Bottled: 26th November 2025

Cask: European oak sherry butt, cask 15042/12

ABV: 58.1% (cask strength)

Volume: 70cl

Outturn: 615 bottles

Natural colour | Non-chill filtered

Supplied in original box

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich and decadent layers of milk chocolate, sultana, cranberry, cacao nibs and orange oil

Palate: Medjool dates, treacle, crystallised ginger, glacé figs, chocolate covered espresso beans and rich oak

Finish: Long, layered and complex, with dried fruit and mocha

About The Macallan

Founded in 1824 on the Easter Elchies estate, The Macallan is one of the most celebrated names in Scotch whisky, built on its commitment to oak, and above all to sherry oak.
